well its great that His excellency the prime minister and the finance ministers are optimistic of getting some oil in Isiolo

the picture is courtesy of the standard media group of kenya

But the heart of the matter is that for so long these "Kenyans" living in these areas have been neglected by the state for so long that they are no longer even sure whether indeed they do live in Kenya.

But what the heck, since the government has got some oil now they will try to pretend like they do care for them.....

but that is not what I am complaining about today Kenya...my worry is that the government is going to give contracts to these foreign companies to extract the oil and in return get a very small potion for the country.

why cant we wait and accumulate enough wealth to extract it ourselves?

and hey ..I do hope that security will be biffed up in the country if in case the allegations that there is oil in Isiolo is true.

just a thought..................

 Comments

The Census

What makes me pissed of today is the fact that there was a national census conducted in Kenya......
Wo...wo wo wo hold your horses boys, am not against it but on the contrary am not for it. First of all my brothers and sisters who were by then jobless were so happy to have found a well paying job to last them a few days.....Imagine being paid appproximately Ksh.20,000 in about 2 weeks now that's good money!

But the blannder is that they have not been paid upto now! what the hell is hapenning?
Did the government endevor on a project that it could not suficiently finance? did someone take what did not belong to him?
well they will tell you to produce evidence of any malpractice on their part......but the big question is

does the absence of evidence mean the evidence of absence?......you tell me

Now about the census issue
The government of Kenya claims to be seriously planning for her population, but does that mean that it has the right to squander public funds by applying outdated methods?

What is so hard with implementing a database to have the records of all newborns and at the same time record our beloved family and friends who chose to see the lord before we do.?

therefore whenever the government what's to find out how many we will be in 2030...they just simulate the growth rate and find out the population by then or better yet just find out form the database how many kenyans there are currently present...

just a thought......
